On October 2018 in the presence of the President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, was inaugurated the “Blue Light” foundation, born by an idea of our friend Simon Schembri, a Maltese police officer, who was helped by us with the Mission#6 due to the fact that he was injured on the line of duty.
The event was a unique opportunity to raise the attention on how fundamental is the moral support, that even a common citizen can give, to all those who wears a uniform.During the cerimon we spent a few minutes in an interview with the President of Malta to illustrate the activities of Good Guys in Bad Lands.
In Poland, on October 2018, we joint the 3rd edition of the International Bodyguard Conference held by Wodan Security. As for the previous one, the conference was an important event at European level on the Close Protection. The 3rdIBC was full of exchanges regarding techniques, procedures and equipment to be used for one of the most high-risk tasks: the Close Protection. The conference was really interesting in all its aspects, from the professional one to the strictly human one, it was possible to get to know many operators from all over the world. We highly recommend it to anyone working in this field, we hope to see you there next year!
During the World Rhino Day, in collaboration with the friends of PPA – Poaching Prevention Academy, we organized an event aimed at raising public awareness of the protection of African rhinos and to say thanks to those who protect these magnificent animals every day.
At the end of August we took part in the SF-UCS Challenge organized by the friends of the Anti Terror Academy in the Czech Republic. Thanks to this event we had the opportunity to meet many new friends from all around Europe.
Mission n.7 ended last Sunday, with the welcome presence of Dr. Girolamo FABIANO, Questore di Bergamo, at the Poligono Indoor Bergamo the “Steel Challenge” race for the 1st “Giovanni Politi” Memorial, a law enforcement officer who died prematurely during his duty in Florence on February 25, 2018. The Mission was organized in partnership with S.A.P. Milano and S.A.P. Bergamo.
The funds raised will be donated to the “Marco Valerio” project of the Italian State Police Assistance Fund, as adviced by Giovanni Politi’s family, in order to help sons of law enforcement officers who have particular disease

During the end of May and the beginning of June 2018 we organized a mission in Malta aimed to support in a concrete way a Police Officer, Simon Schembri, who, on May, was run over and dragged by a car while he was on duty.
Thanks to the collaboration with many Maltese associations we organized a shooting competition in order to collect money to help Simon Schembri during his reabilitaion.
On April 2018, thanks to the Italian Army 185th Artillery Paratroopers Regiment “Folgore” and Kosovo Force – KFOR, we donated an EAD (External Automated Defibrillator) device to Gjakovafirefighters as a sign of esteem for the daily work done for their community. We want to thank our partners and the whole Good Guys in Bad Lands’ community for supporting this beautiful initiative.
In addition, during our visit in Kosovo, we had the opportunity to touch with hands the extraordinary work done by the international coalition in that part of Balkans; in fact, with the Commander of the CI.MI.C. (CIvil MIlitary Cooperation) unit we visited an hostel runs by an Italian family for orphaned children due to the conflict happened years ago in that beautiful part of Europe.
The gates were opened the 40th edition of SHOT Show, from 23 to 26 January, at the Venetian Palazzo in Las Vegas (USA). The SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade) Show is the biggest event of this type in the world together with IWA & OutdoorClassics. “SHOT”, besides being a general reference to shooting, is an acronym for “Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade” (show). The day before the official opening of SHOT SHOW, there was the possibility, only for those in the sector, to participate at the ATAC Range Day (Advanced Tactics And Countermeasures) showcasing the latest products and services for military, contracting and Law enforcement units, this global event, dedicated to veterans, is a place where manufacturers, retailers and distributors can interact and get direct feedback from end users. Over 40+ countries represented, going on its 8th year, the ATAC Range Day 2018 is an event we couldn’t miss it. During the range day we met a lot of amazing people like the argentinian guys who run SemperFi Tactical company. Finally. on Genuary 23 the fair starts and thousands of members of the shooting, hunting and outdoor trade industry including commercial buyers and sellers of military, law enforcement and tactical products have had the opportunity to visit about hundreds booths of the world’s most important companies. SHOT Show 2018 as it always stands tall, the biggest fair in the industry world this year has not disappointed expectations. Good Guys in Bad Lands was there, we have had the opportunity to know already well-established realities in the field but also small, almost family-run companies that produce high quality tools.

Milpol is the european leading event for homeland security; it is organized under the patronage of the French Ministry of Interior in partnership with the French National Police and Gendarmerie, Civil Defence Service, French Customs, City Police, Interpol, etc. In this edition there were more than 29,939 visitors from 143 countries, 1,005 exhibitors, 161 official delegations from 77 countries and 331 journalists.

September 9 & 10, 2017. In Sigonella, Sicily, Instructor Zero has held a “Defensive Pistol lv.1” seminar; guest of honor was Corinne Mosher a famous american shooter, that, with her technical knowledge has increased even more the already high quality of teaching. Instructor Zero is a former italian airborne instructor and he is graduated “Cum Laude” in Investigations and Security. Instructor Zero is also a Certified Security Advisor, Educator, Risk Analyst and a Firearms Instructor; while Corinne has worked at Centerfire Shooting Sports since its opening and has been essential in creating content for some of their most popular classes including Ladies Self Defense and Youth safety classes. The objective of the “Defensive Pistol Course lv.1” was to consolidate the bases of gun defense through self-security so as not to cause collateral damage.
